Welcome to American Space News. Here you will find the most current space news for the American space enthusiasts. My name is Thomas Sullivan and I am the author of this journal. I am a pilot, aviation/space enthusiasts, and I am currently building a web publishing company. With a background in aviation and computer science, I feel I can bring a fairly high quality news journal to the American public. This journal will be updated daily and I encourage you to bookmark or place the XML file (orange icon on main page) into your aggregator reader for receiving updates automatically. If you are a space enthusiasts, it is a great time to be living in the United States. We are on the threshold of a great adventure into the cosmos. It is my hope that this journal and others like it contribute to the reigniting of the excitement about space travel that was prevalent among Americans in the 1960s. If this occurs, then my objective has been achieved.

Dear Mr. Sullivan
I’d like to send you a complimentary advance reading copy of Pluto and Beyond by Anne Minard, foreword by Carolyn Shoemaker.
The book recounts some personal stories about astronomers working for Percival Lowell at Lowell Observatory - quite interesting to see the conditions and circumstances under which these folks worked - and some of the discoveries they made in spite of adverse working conditions.
Please reply with your mailing address and I’ll send it right away. Your review, comments, or recommendations will be appreciated, but are not a requirement of receiving the galley. If you like the book, however, I would be grateful if you would tell your friends and colleagues about the book. Thanks.
